Interesting post about how corporate blogs are best utilized to empower and strenghthen “cheerleaders” as opposed to generating leads.  Cheerleaders are your brand advocates – your most loyal, fierce customers.  They can have a big impact when provided with the right tools.

Thee cheerleader idea has been around for a while, and one of the best uses was by Apple when it first introduced the Mac.  Guy Kawasaki was Chief Cheerleader, another word is Evangelist.  Here’s an interview where Guy provides some background.  Apple still does a great job turning customers into cheerleaders.
