DressCast 2 is live in the App Store

by Ian Rosenwach on 11.18.2013

The new version of DressCast for iPhone went live last week. DressCast is an iPhone app that gives customers outfit ideas based on the weather. What’s new app without a demo video?

The design objectives (loosely defined) were –

  • Be more aligned with iOS7 in terms of screen resolution, outfit resolution, icons, and flatter design
  • Simplicity – we removed the setting screen and were able to bring key settings – gender, degree type, and location – right to the forefront of the app
  • Analytics – better data on how people are using the app

So far the engagement results have been promising.

I’ve been testing out various app install marketing channels, and hope to write about my experience there later this week.  Given the importance of mobile advertising to companies like Twitter and Facebook (and beyond), I was curious to learn how their ad offerings compared. I’ll also have some results from Facebook’s new app install ads with video.

You can get the iPhone app here.
